Who controls your data?
Currently, Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland is the data controller responsible for your personal information. After the transfer, Athora Belgium will become the data controller for your policy.

What information will be transferred?
It is important to note that, if you are a Transferring Policyholder, your Transferring Policy is currently managed on behalf of Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland by Athora Belgium.
Athora Belgium will use the personal information they already hold about you to complete this transfer. This includes your name, contact details, date of birth, bank details and other policy-related information including limited sensitive health data when required.
Some of this information may have been provided by third parties, including other companies within the Aviva Group or Athora Belgium, as the current administrator of your policy.
If you share personal information about another person, please ensure they have seen this notice.
Sharing your information
Your personal information may be shared with trusted third parties for purposes related to the transfer. This includes sharing your personal data with an external mailing house, The Mailing Factory, in order for Athora Belgium to manage communications with you.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have rights regarding your personal information, including:
- Access to your data
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure or restriction of processing
- Data portability (transfer to another organisation)
- Objecting to processing
- Withdrawing consent (where applicable)
